Hang tough, Nate. How do you like Utah after living in Southern California?
Hey Bridge. I'm doing my best. Utah is a bit odd. Very cold winters. Which is one of the main reasons I escaped from Michigan to the Mojave Desert of California. The Mormon ambiance was very strong at first but now its ...

Yes, working out helps keep me focused and positive. I'm sorry to "hear" that you're in similar circumstances.

I'D PAY TO HAVE A COPY!
The Atlas booklet on dispaly in the "museum" section of this site is marvelous! I love looking through it, and although it's certainly convenient to have it available to browse through and read online, I'm of the "old school" and I love to hold an actual book or booklet in my hand. To me, it's worth ...

You say you can't knock weights? I can!
My dad was a barbell fanatic while I was growing up, and he has bad joints, REALLY bad joints, as a result. Plus, it aged him. Everyone I've ever known that used or uses weights have been injured. Some seriously, some not so seriously. Tell me, what exactly is the point of weights since one does not ...

Re: "THE STORY OF CHARLES ATLAS" DVD
I bought the A & E biography too and if it were a videotape I would have worn it out by now! Great films of Atlas playing, exercising, and running on the beach, TV show appearances, television commericals for DT, all kinds of great material that will inspire, encourage, and entertain.

Oh yeah life goes on.
Hi guys
I apologize for dropping off the face of the Earth for a few months, but my wife and I separated and are divorcing, and I moved to Salt Lake City. I'm still working out. Old habits die hard,
I hope everyone here is either doing great, well, or better.

Re: DIPPING EXERCISE
Hey Ian
When I do the "dipping" exercise I do them between chairs--of course--and I dip down as low as my skeletal range of motion will allow. I elevate my feet to an extreme degree (about seventy degrees), throwing most of my bodyweight onto my upper body. I move very slowly--four to five seconds ...
