Re: Good C's
About coconuts. I would include them on the “Good C’s” list. Not the hard, brown gnarly ones we commonly see in our supermarkets, but the fresh, young coconuts. They can be hard to find unless you live near a health food store that stocks them or Asian neighborhood. But if you get your hands on som...

Re: Broken Collar Bone
I would recommend you go back to your Doctor and ask for a prescription for Physical Therapy. Get the pro’s involved ASAP. That is an area were you do not want to take chances for exacerbation, re-injury, or just not doing the right things leading to some difficult to reverse condition like frozen ...

Re: Recipes
Hey curdog, I tried your recipe using turnip greens (could not get collard greens) and turkey bacon which I fried with the onions in olive oil. It was good, but missing something. Now I remember I did not use any hot sauce. I don’t reach for the hot stuff as readily as I used to but, next time I wi...

Re: Recipes
I love collard greens and I love bacon, though we all know the bads of bacon. Bacon once in a while is OK (we need to live a little) I feel. If you want a more flavorful option to just water, you might try, as an alternative to the bacon, a smoked leg of turkey or ham bone. More healthy? Sounds lik...

Re: Good C's
I agree with you on the canned sardines. Cheap, transportable, usually have pull tab for easy opening, high/quality protein, less Mercury than tuna, low in bad fat, high in good fat. I usually eat them right out of the can, but, would be interested in ways to make them more palatable. Perhaps you c...

Re: We Must Avoid The Seven C's
I admit, when I say I quit caffeine, what I mean is I am at a point where I go weeks without any, but, still enjoy the occasional cup of tea or coffee. Much the same way I consume alcohol, although, I go months between the occasional beer or wine etc. I almost never drink soda. Studies are constant...

Re: We Must Avoid The Seven C's
There is another "C" From Lesson 2 "The caffeine of coffee and tea is a deadly poison.__If you are wise you will avoid them." So I've given up the only drug I've consumed almost daily since high school. I've tried a few times before, but Charles Atlas somehow gave me the motivat...
