Re: Dave Prowes an Atlas Student

I was lucky enough to meet David Prowse at a famous monsters convention about 10-15 years ago in Washington DC. He was very nice and spent a great deal of time with all the fans. Remember he was also in a number of other movies including A Clockwork Orange, and several Hammer Studios movies where he...

Re: lat excercises

Pullups. I personally like close grip chinups and pullups. These also work the arms. There are also a number of excellent back exercises in the Atlas course. If you have ever noticed male gymnasts their lats are very wide. These are from pullups. There is no exercise with weights that can equal the ...

Re: Handstand

I would start out by walking your feet up a wall. Stand with your back to the wall then squat down, place your feet against the wall and walk them up while walking your hands closer to the wall. Once in the handstand position just hold it there for a few seconds. Walk your feet back down the wall. T...

The only other supplements that I take is a good multi-vitamin, extra vitamin c, and fish oil caplets. I personally use a pullup bar since I do a lot of pullups ,but i...

Re: 50th Birthday Workout

Thanks for the support. I am now telling everyone about how this system can save your health at any age. A person can truly save their lives with this system. The way my health was going before I found Charles Atlas I shudder at the thought at where I would be today without it. My blood pressure is ...

50th Birthday Workout

Today was my 50th birthday and I decided to see what kind of shape I had achieved under the Atlas system. I decided to take a one hour block and see what I could do without over stressing myself. I started with 225 upright dips, i did them slowly and with good form, sets of 3 with only 10 seconds re...

Re: Home Modifications?

I believe that once you are in the perpetual lessons there is a great deal of flexibility. I make changes every month or so. One month I may focus on a large number of handstand pushups and do very few dips. Another month I will do large numbers of dips with the exclusion of other exercises. I also ...

Re: The gift of self discpline

I couldnt agree more. The Atlas Course has given me the tools to make positive changes in my own life. I got rid of my cable about six months ago and dont miss it a bit. I now have time to exercise every day, fix all my meals at home, which are a lot better than what you find out in the fast food wo...
