Re: How to Develop A Perfect Body

Rats, it's week FIVE, not four starting in the morning. Adding lessons 4 & 5 to 1 (and 2 of course). Today I hate a raw potato at lunch. Freaked my buddies out. It was good. Not sure I knew what a potato actually tastes like - not grease, salt, and ketchup. Only thing was a whole one was too muc...

Re: How to Develop A Perfect Body

Starting week four in the morning. Odd to start on a Thursday (on this side of the world), but when I decided to start the course I saw no reason to wait until a week-end. The twice a day is really keeping my mind on it. I think about how the military trains and this seems like very little. Feel jus...

Re: How to Develop A Perfect Body

I read a book by a guy who got keep into bodybuilding (the extreme kind) for a while. Can't remember the name just now. There was nothing healthy about it whatsoever. He dieted so severely to get definition, his bodyfat got so low it hurt his feet to walk. Didn't have enough fat to pad the bottoms o...

You're taking good care of your dogs too Jabber, as I'm sure you know. I bet they love it. Next dog I get I'm going to take him out with me too.

Re: Inspirational Passages/Articles

Sounds like an excellent habit. I like the "truest success is but the development of self." After all what else does a man REALLY have? You can lose a job, family and friends will pass away. All the stuff you own will someday belong to somebody else, or the land fill. Found an article by A...

Re: when and where do you walk?

Google maps has a distance measuring feature. I used it to plot out my route. I'm not actually up to the walking lesson but figured I'd work up to it. I can take a fairly long lunch break so I walk around city blocks. Have to stop sometimes, which is not ideal. This winter I'll probably go back to m...

Re: Cold showers

I can't stand to step directly into a cold shower, but soon as I get it in I start carnking it down. Finish with very cold. I have a problem with excema (itching for no apparent reason) on my legs. The dermatologist said to use as cool a water as possible and that is better for anyone.

Hello all. I'm Joe from N. Ky. Got the course 10+ years ago. Worked through it somewhat but didn't follow everything. Didn't do the exercises twice a day or the walking. But I've kept of many of the exercises and much of the advice. Read about a guy named A.J. Jacobs who decided to live as closely a...
