The Big Three
I now only do the Big 3, pushups, squats, and walking, and these exercises serve me well. They can be done almost anywhere at any time, and basicly are more refreshing, to me at least, than other exercises. I am dealing with Father Time now, and want to avoid damaging my back, etc., which situps and...

Re: Starting back up
Great decision, Mickey! Just remember to "train and not strain" as advised by Atlas. Just stay with the program, as it is well proven, and consistency is the key to success.

Re: New Members Intros
Stick with it, the best is yet to come! I am a youngster of 72, and the Atlas course has served me well. I've tried other courses and other methods, but always return to the best of the best.

Easy Does It!
I did mini workouts yesterday. 2x25 pushups, situps, squats, leg raises, and calf raises, before breakfast, before lunch, and before bed. 3 mile walk and 6 pullups and 8 chinups, done in slow, good form. Exercising this way sure leaves a lot in the tank for other activities.

Re: Simon's Progress Report
Stay with it, just always remind yourself to train and not strain! Listen to your body, and only train until moderately winded, not to sheer exhaustion! You are not in a competition to always do more and more every day! It's hard I know to get this no pain, no gain brainwashing out of your system. I...

The Perpetual Lesson Keeps Me Going
The Perpetual Lesson has all the exercises you need to stay fit. I get up in the morning and go for my 3 mile walk. After breakfast, i do the exercises of the Perpetual Lesson, 3 sets of 35 reps each, except for the side bend exercise doing just one set of 25, and the neck exercise for one set of 25...

Don't forget the words of Atlas, "Train, Don't Strain!" This mantra will serve you well. Forget about "no pain, no gain."
