Re: white rice

When I bought rice it was always par-boiled converted long grain, then we started cooking with basmati rice from India. What I have found now is extra long grain par-boiled converted that never saw before, it comes from Pakistan. Really good.

Re: Strength

Charles Atlas is great inspiration. I remember my neighbour in the apartment next door having a fall and couldn't get up but was able to phone me. I guess I impressed her when I lifted her up with ease.

Over the years working on building sites and heavy warehouse lifting my body has had it's fair share of strain. About 7 weeks ago I woke up with a pinch nerve...

Re: Be Proud of Yourself

I have a t-shirt from a yoga studio that has "Accept Yourself" under their logo, I think I accepted myself a long long time ago.

Everyday get out and about, keep fit and socialize, make friends.

Re: Goals and Inspiration

I was telling my Yoga teacher about how Charles Atlas does handstand push-up on a piano stool, since she gave options to do a handstand during the class, not me but a much younger athletic guy did. My teachers dad is from New York and lives there, she recently visited.

Rainy Days

It's been quite rainy these days but that doesn't mean not to take a chance for moments of the rain stopping for a short while. Walking the river bike path is really good, everything green and fresh. taking notice of the many variety of trees and plants, amazing. You can't go by a weather forecast o...

Moments in the Sun

One of my Yoga teachers is having free classes uptown every Wednesday at the market outdoor area. She's also collecting donations like socks and other things for the homeless, my moment in the Sun.
