Re: 50th Birthday Workout

Dynamic tension is a natural way of training. And the more we live according to mother nature's laws, the more we are rewarded with health and strength :) Mr. Atlas constantly emphasized this point since it's of outmost importance.

Re: Falling at the first exercise

Hello Boredreiver, it's great to know you have a plan that really works, isn't it? I completely relate to your amusement. I would recommend starting all over again since if I got you right, you did the course for 2 weeks and then "rested" for at least 3 weeks more. As regards to your inten...

Re: Hardest Lesson To Learn

And I would add that it is also the hardest lesson to TEACH. Many of my acquaintances simply don't get it. Year in and year out they try the same thing which does not work and injuries them. Still, they get back on the same track to be beaten up. I try to explain them, but the message does not get t...

Re: Every Day?

Hey George, when you do the 12 lesson course, do you practice it as directed (only the lessons corresponding) or do you add a few exercises from the perpetual lesson also to try and get a full body workout. Just curious.

Re: Modern Day

I think Mr. Atlas, if alive today, should definitely need a TV show to get his message through. Remember how inspiring to us all it was when you saw for the fist time his A&E Biography? Imagine getting that inspiration every week. Imagine working in front of your TV set, while watching Mr. Atlas...

Re: Every Day?

I usually train from 5 or 6 days per week. In the morning, due to time constraints  , I try to do 2 sets of dips and 2 sets of deep knee bends. Also, I practice lesson 5's spine stretching exercises. At night, I would do my perpetual lesson plus another lesson from the 12 lesson course to give ...

Re: lat excercises

In my experience, the dips and exercise #3 from lesson 1 are the best to develop the lats :D I remember that after my first week on DT, I was mostly surprised by my chest and lat development. Up to that point, I had no idea that I had lats. Keeps us posted on your progress.

Re: Natural Bodybuilding Mag Charles Atlas Article

I read the article through the web page. It's thrilling to read something about Mr. Atlas in a current magazine issue. It's a proof that DT is the real deal and what an impact Mr. Atlas has had on so many lifes.

Re: INSPIRING

You inspire others by having lots of pep all day round, by having a positve vision, by always being in a good mood, by having strength and a toned body, by eating healthy... In other words, by being an Atlasman as intended ;) You will inevitably get asked what you do or take, because other people ca...

Re: Handstand

Thank you very much for the advice. I had to move some furniture around to get a clear space. I will try the "walking technique". When I am comfortable with that I guess I can progress to the "kicking against the wall" one. I will keep you posted on my progress.
