Re: We Must Avoid The Seven C's

One of the most difficult advises CA gives for me to follow is to quit drinking coffe. Although I have cut my coffe consumption a great margin, I still like to have a cup or two per day. I used to have around 10 cups per day, which I admit was way beyond the maximum recommended by doctors, which is ...

Re: SHAVING

It´s my experience that in the shaving department nothing does the job better done and at a very affordable price than an old-fashioned and classic double edge safety razor. The blades are far cheaper and biodegradable, which is good for our resource-limited world. Besides each blade lasts around on...

Re: retro Atlas Course

I am thankful that I discovered the Atlas course now that I am at my late 20s because I now have the discipline to follow it through. To complete the 12 weeks is a very important achievement on its own. Every person who has attained that should be proud of himself. My congratulations to them all.

Re: Walking

Walking is a marvelous exercise. It gets you outdoors and the impact level on the knees is not that tough. It is amazing to realize how complete the DT course is. I really get pissed off when people who have never in their lifes done the DT course make such erroneous claims about it. One guy even to...

Re: do the exercises "until tired"

I would recommend you to read Lesson 6, exactly the last paragraphs under the title "practical methods to avoid stiffness, soreness and muscle build". In it, Mr. Atlas recommends to train until the fatigue point (train not strain), instead of the exhaustion point (no pain, no gain). I unde...

Re: CA's weight?

You can find his measurements and some of the feats of strength he could perform in the brochure "Secrets Muscular Power and Beauty", in the museum section of Charles Atlas ltd website. Charles Atlas was an example till the very end of his life. For me that´s the biggest proof that DT work...

Re: Old vs New DT Routine

My copy does not contain any of these exercises. I remember that in the old forum, one of the experienced member confirmed the one leg squat and denied the reverse push-up. What my copy does contain is the "Milk Lesson" in lesson 2, which I am not pretty sure why was excluded in newer vers...

Re: Organic

By organic I understand foodstuff grown or raised without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides or hormones. That being said, yes, I believe CA encourages the ingestion of organic food. Mr. Atlas asked his pupils to eat in a natural, healthy way. I truly believe organic food goes hand in hand with tha...

Old vs New DT Routine

I have acquired an old DT course from the 1940s as a collectible item. My newer version is for daily use. Comparing both versions it is really true that the DT course has changed very little through the years. That being said, I did notice one big change concerning the training scheme. The old copy ...

Re: Too Tired to Train

Stretching is very important, even for young guys (I am currently 28 years old, but I'm about to turn 29 nest week). When I was in college and used to practice jogging (like 6 years ago), I used to stretch before and after my daily jog. I noticed that I had a much better endurance when I had previou...
