Re: Trophy Winner 1936

I'm sorry I didn't see this message sooner or I would have replied to it before now.

Anyway, you can see the 1936 trophy winner in the museum right here on the Charles Atlas website. On my monitor it comes up around the third page on the old advertisement section.

Hope this helps!

Re: Home Modifications?

Two things: First, the most important thing is that you make DT a life-long endeavor. If your plan will keep you motivated to keep on with DT, then it is a good plan. Variety is, after all, "the spice of life." Second, constant repetition, doing the same things over and over with the same ...

Re: People that were inspired by Charles Atlas or took course

I put up a post about Clint Walker for the older guys, but I thought I would also put up one that younger guys will recognize, and that is Mario Lopez. He has a fine physique, no doubt. Do you know what he does to keep his upper body in shape? 500 pushups a day. Does that sound familiar? Our master,...

Re: People that were inspired by Charles Atlas or took course

My wife showed me an article in AMERICAN PROFILE magazine, July 19-25, 2009. Some of the younger guys (and gals) on this site may not remember a major motion picture star by the name of Clint Walker, but I do. The guy was huge and he dominated any scene he was in. He was also on several TV shows, in...

Re: Too Tired to Train

I thought I'd give you a follow-up on this, since I sent the original post. I went to the doctor last week because I thought I was having blood sugar problems. Again, very tired. He asked how much coffee drank. I told him. I also told him I had had lots of ice cream just before this latest episode o...

potassium

During the summer of the last few years I have had a tendancy to lose potassium. Perhaps this is due to getting older, poor diet, or just dna. I don't know. I first discovered this while training for a marathon a few years ago and almost every summer is slips up on me again. The symptoms are irregul...

Flexibility and Atlas

A question was raised recently about whether or not the Atlas system is flexible. At first glance, one might not think so. There is a fixed number of exercises for the perpetual lesson, a prescribed three mile walk (more exactly, a free-style lunge), nutrition, breathing exercises, mental habits, sl...

Atlas Medal

Somebody asked about an Atlas Medal a few months ago and it got me to thinking. Its cool to have an actual medal. I have one that I bought on ebay, but it was originally given to someone else. That person's name is on the back of the medal. They come up for auction every once in awhile. If you can g...

Re: hardbound book or downloadable course

I ordered the course for my son through the mail and I downloaded the course for myself. I checked to see if there were any differences and besides the color from my printer and the type of paper that I printed it on there are no differences whatsoever. The lines are even divided at the same points.

Re: foods of convenience

2618 calories! Thats incredible. I think a pound is 3000 calories. Many people, most people, don't require 2618 calories for a whole day. What is even more odd is that many of these high calorie meals are in salads. People think they are getting a healthy meal while in reality it is loaded with fat,...
