Re: when and where do you walk?
Geosta, when I worked at an office is used to walk from my workplace to my home and when arriving home go straight into my evening DT routine. Now that I work at home, what I do is do my walking either in the morning after my DT morning exercises (which I do very rarely) or in the evening when I fin...

Re: vintage program
Geosta, I am glad to know that you are going to give the vintage rotation a try. For me it has this great advantage, there are less exercises to perform. That means that I can perform all of them with much better concentration and thus benefit much more from them. In my experience, this rotation giv...

Re: Bodylastics disaster
I think is part of human nature to try and find better ways of doing things. For me the Atlas course is the best, but you sometimes want to check out other stuff out there. In the end, all reinforces what I already know: the Atlas course is the best.

Re: Need Encouragement
Rocky, I would definitely encourage you to read again lesson 1 and lesson 12, for that matter. I you have it or can afford it, I would recommend you to watch the A&E Biography "Charles Atlas: Modern Day Hercules". And finally, I would recommend you to read the article "Every Day, ...

Re: vintage program
Bo Atlas, I have the new and an old DT course from the 1940s as a collectible item. Regarding the exercises, the courses are the same. That being said, I did notice one big change concerning the training scheme. The old copy asks to practice lessons 1,2 and 3 throughout the course, whereas the new v...

Re: starting course
Hi Middleaged, even though I am not 50 I can tell you that in the Atlas system therea are no fixed numbers of reps and sets. Everyone one is different and one of the great things about DT ist that it teaches you to listen to your body. How many sets and reps FEEL good to you? A little hint, you must...

Mitch, congratulations for finishing the course!!! You really sticked to it and did it on your first try, that is great and shows a lot of commitment!!! That you have managed to convince your wife to try it with you this second time around it is such a great idea. Hope you like the old lesson rotati...

Re: GREAT MOUNTAIN WORKOUT
Henry, that sounds like an excellent place to workout.
The bottomline of all our stories is that outdoor workouts are great. No wonder that Mr. Atlas loved to workout on the beach and jog too

Re: GREAT MOUNTAIN WORKOUT
Whenever I am invited to the beach by a friend, my first thought is always: "Great, I can enjoy my DT exercises in front of the beach". It is extremely invingorating to practice DT with the sea breeze and finish out with a nice swim ;) I have even done that in the winter and still enjoyed ...

Re: Women and beachwear.
I've been dating a girl for sometime now. The first time she felt my arm she exclaimed "Oh my God, you are all muscle!!!" :o. I never before had realized the impact that a naturally trained physique could have on women. The key here is the word naturally. She tells me she does not like the...
