Re: Bullies

Thank you!
I was bullied as a boy and I know how painful it can be and how long those "bruises" can last.
Bullying stops when we speak up.

Re: Farewell to Summer

Henry, congrats on being retired one year! I've been "officially" retired a year but I had to retire 3 times to get here. Had a hard time with too little to do. Now I'm loving it. Have been off my CA training for awhile. Trouble with a shoulder problem that no one can diagnose. (Not a rota...

Re: I love this system, wish i started when i was younger

I turn 78 in a couple weeks. Began Atlas when I was 28. Of all the different exercise methods and programs I've tried I keep coming back to Atlas -- no dangerous equipment, no crazy supplements and steroids, no obsession with getting bigger and bigger. And although it is advertised as a body buildin...

Re: Feeling Down?

The trouble with feeling down or in a "blue mood" is it saps one's energy and motivation. I've found that even if I do, say, 3 dips, or 3 slow and easy deep knee bends, that little bit can be enough to wake me up and get me going again. I still might not end up doing a complete workout, bu...

Re: I've retired from working

Congrats, Henry! I had retired a few years ago but kept working 3 days part time. My very last day was 10/16/17! Yes, it sure does feel great. I can exercise whenever I want. Best of strength, health, and fitness to you.

Re: bodyweight revolution

You're an inspiration, Henry! Assuming you're retired now, you'll also have time to ride a bike. I use bike riding to supplement jogging and CA exercises. Good luck!

Re: walking

I live in a city and find walking early in the a.m. (6:00) leaves me plenty of peace and quiet. But I keep my walks to about 15 min while I do Atlas exercises. Works great. Increases heart rate. I do lunge walks up a pretty steep hill. Can do it any time of year, even in the rain I've done it. Give ...

Re: Mental Exercise

A lot of this Atlas program is about mental approach -- keeping positive, reviewing those areas one feels a need to put in some extra work on. A great benefit of the program is that there are dozens of exercises to choose from. I occasionally go back, review the course, and think through what I want...

Re: Vegan Challenge

So a couple week have gone by on this experiement, Henry. How's it going? Anything to report? For myself, I get the value of fruits and veggies, and I'm not a bit meat eater, still I do love a steak now and then. And of course seafood and chicken. I've always leaned toward variety in moderation. I'm...

Re: The Green

One of my favorite outdoor activities is to get up early (5:00a.m.) and take a brisk 15' walk and do Atlas exercises along the way, e.g. curls, lunges, and depending on the roads I take I can pass by a bus stop where there's a bench that I stop at to do dips (not as deep as between 2 chairs, but it ...
