Re: starting out

Hi fasters and welcome. The secret I believe is to have the determination to carry out the lessons no matter what. I first started the course in the 1960s but unfortunately I have not had the best of health and have had to sideline the course sometimes in consequence which was regrettable. I have ha...

Re: starting out

Hello middleaged and welcome. I find doing three sets of each exercise works for me. At the begining you can be over enthusiastic it is at this point that problems start. Just take it easy and do each of the sets (if you wish to do three that is, two or one is OK if you find it works for you ) and e...

Re: How Old Are You?

Hello everyone! I never let this age business bother me at all, it's the way you feel and act that's important. The main thing is to look after your self in every way possible and that means for me at any rate to follow the DT put down by Charles Atlas too many years ago to mention, together with a ...

Do the Atlas ads still appear in American journals or elsewhere apart from the internet does anybody no? There are plenty of Men's fitness magazines around today offering different types of wo...

Re: I'm Back

Hi there good to know that Charles Atlas has brought you back again. I'll be 62 next year and over a period of over 40 years I have gone off to try other methods but I have always returned to my Atlas roots.

Re: foods of convenience

I'm not a pizza or burger lover but a couple of days ago we called in a Mcdonalds for a drink as we had had a long drive. The sight that met us behind the counter was one of chaos, the floor of the kitchen area was filthy with food and empty boxes strewn at random. That has certainly stopped any tho...

Re: Oil Spill

I feel ashamed to be British when I consider the mess to human, animal life and the environment that this outrage from BP has caused. This company must pay dearly for this, the consequences will be felt for many years.

Re: Walking

I like the idea of performing exercises at any odd moments in the day. Especially the walking and stretching. The stretching I often do while stood in queues. I find this breaks the monotony and works well, even though I might get the odd look of curiosity.

Re: We Must Avoid The Seven C's

Hi, I'm new to the forum but have followed CA for a long time. I'm one of the many who can't seem to function without a few cups of tea ( in my case) although I quit having tea with caffeine long ago. There are many brands of decaffeinated teas and coffee on the market and they are well worth a try ...
