Re: How Do You Train?
Once a day, in the morning, before breakfast, perpetual lesson, and any other DT exercises I might feel like I should be doing at the moment. And speed walking. Do you do multiple sets of 25 pushups as suggested for the Perpetual Lesson, or do you do higher rep sets? I go back and forth from doing ...

Train, Don't Strain!

How Do You Train?
Morning and evening? Before breakfast? Every day? Every other day? I find that if I work out two days in a row with high volume, then rest one day, continue to work out the next three days, and then take a day off, works best for me. I don't do well with two days off, as I get lazy and start to make...

Re: Atlas Senior Citizen Workout
It's just the name I give to the workout that Atlas did when he was 69 and beyond, which I now follow, being a senior citizen myself.Jim wrote:I'm not aware of a Senior Citizen's Atlas Course, Bridge. Is this something you purchased? Or is it your own version of the original Atlas course?

Re: Atlas Senior Citizen Workout
Hello, Jim! So we about the same age, and both born in June, great! I just started to do the Charles Atlas Senior Citizen Workout, about 2 weeks ago, and I really like it. I'll try to work out at least 5 days a week, thus far I have worked out every day, but I know I'll need to take some recovery da...

Re: Atlas Senior Citizen Workout
And don't forget, guys, the more pushups you do the more your abs are worked, also - isometrically, since you have to maintain the correct position (body straight). And do either of you put some dynamic tension exercises anywhere in there? I would suggest the awesome exercises in Lesson 1 (Rope Pul...

Re: Atlas Senior Citizen Workout
I do the squats slowly, as well as the crunches, in good form. The pushups I do quickly, but with good form while doing my walk. Fast or slow, it's the time the muscle is under tension that counts.
