Handstand
I have never been able to perform a handstand, not even as a kid. One of my goals for this summer (in Peru, summer time is during the first months of the year) is to be able to do so. I am very confident that I have the strength to do it, DT has taken care of that! But I still have a fear to fall an...

Re: Atlas Trophy!
The position in which Constantino has his body rigid while keeping his hands close to his abdomen is a real feat of strength. When I saw that photograph when he was pronounced winner I tried to do it myself. I failed miserably at it. And he was 40 yeras older than myself at that time! :o By the way,...

Re: Worth the extra cash?
That´s an excellent advise, Geosta! The last time I did the 12 lesson course, I did in that exact way. I would read only one lesson at a time and it made my workout much more enjoyable ;) . It also helped to fix some ideas which I would not have being able to do If I had being trying to read the who...

Number of Sets
When doing the 12 lesson course, I used to perform each exercise for one set only, except for the dip, of which I performed 3 sets. It worked fine because each lesson has so many exercises that work the muscles from every angle possible, besides training twice per day. Right now I am on the perpetua...

Re: Too Tired to Train
I agree with Henry that most of the times the feeling of tiredness is in your mind. When I get home from work, I usually feel tired. But I know that as soon as I get my first set of dips I will feel energized again :P. Performing the exercises in front of a mirror helps a lot because it gets you so ...

Re: Posting Again
I have being doing the Perpetual lesson for a week now. I am staring to save for that "Body By Atlas" t-shirt. If everything goes as planned, I will take my "after" photos and measurements in 4 weeks time and send them to Charles Atlas Ltd. I have already written my letter, but I...

Re: The gift of self discpline
Not only in America, but also here down in Peru the "no effort" fad has striken pretty bad. I think somewhere in time we as a society have forgotten that "Effort is Beautiful". If we get something practically for free, we do not experience the satisfaction that goes with accompli...

Re: Posting Again
You are right about forgetting some exercises Henry. You find yourself relearning some exercises. What I also found out was that I was performing some of the exercises in a different manner as it is explained in the course. I can not tell if for better or worse, but I prefer to stick to the way Mr. ...
