Re: Sit-up Test

I'll try what you recommend when I finish the 12 lesson course. I used to practice "crunches" instead of sit-ups since this type of exercise does not cause me any back discomfort whatsoever. I did them the way it is recommended in the "10 Steps to a Better Body" booklet. :D

Re: Posting Again

Just wanted to update on my progress. I am 3 weeks from completing the 12 lesson course and start with the perpetual lesson. I cannot wait to take my final measurements and take my photographs to send for the Atlas Trophy Contest. I only have my initial measurements (not the current ones), but I loo...

Charles Atlas Book - Yours in perfect manhood

I have just received my book "Yours in perfect manhood, Charles Atlas: The most effective fitness program ever devised". It is a very fine book and very inspiring too. It includes photographs of Mr Atlas at various stages in his life (besides of a telling of his life), including some of hi...

Re: Atlas Medal

Completing the Charles Atlas 12 lesson course is an achievement in itself. Everyone that ahs completed it should be proud of himself and worthy of a medal. It would be nice that Charles Atlas ltd would put these on sale at the Atlas Store, engraving included. I have thought of buying myself a "...

Those are excellent results that you have achieved. My congratulations to you. I am particularly impressed with the amount you have reduced at your waist. Keep up the training. I will be expecting your next post.

Re: Too Tired to Train

No wonder thar Mr. Atlas advises to eat only when hungry and not eating more that you can enjoy, besides having a balanced diet and avoiding sugar, white flour and fatty foods. ;)

Re: Worth the extra cash?

I live in Lima Peru. I received my copy roughly five days after I placed my order. Remember that it is send via priority mail, so you should receive it in a similr time. The postal service in my country is not known for it's effciency, so the delay on the arrival to my home is more attributable to l...

Re: Worth the extra cash?

I bought the Atlas book over the downloadable version. The difference: 1) the paper quality is very good; 2) you get two full color versions of the Mac and hey skinny advertisments; 3) you can add material to your file. I have printed all the artciles in the "Museum" section and added them...

Re: neck size

All those "ideal" weight and size tables are really a nightmare, expecially for women. The put so much stress on them because they do not "fit" with the parameters. For example, before I started to train I was visually overweight (I was about to buy a 36" pair of jeans for t...

Re: Pushups, Squats

I personally do the dips and squats slowly, thus I tend to get tired with only a few. Right now I do 35 dips in a row and 20 squats in a row. Before my injury, I could manage 50 dips and 35 squats. I am talking about my first set in each case. Usually thenumers drop roughly by half when I get to the...
