Re: Alternate Every Other Day
I like to mix up my workouts to avoid burnout and boredom. The last couple of days I have arisen and did just one set of the Perpetual Lesson exercises, as many as possible of each, and then immediately going on a 4 mile walk. It's amazing, I have had unlimited energy the last few days I've been try...

Re: Alternate Every Other Day
Right on, we have to listen to our bodies, and we all "march to a different drummer". I just wonder how many of us really work out every day or twice a day, and still manage to walk 3 miles daily as Atlas recommends? It takes quite a commitment to do this, and a lot of energy! As time goes...

Alternate Every Other Day
I have found that working out every other day is best. Doing the Perpetual Exercises one day, and going for long walks on alternate days, enables you to give your best to each component of fitness, strength training and cardio. Otherwise, in time you will burn yourself out, and not feel like exercis...

Re: 100 Pushups, Etc>
by uhlaw97 » Sun Aug 01, 2010 8:42 am It could take a number of months to get up to where you can do 100 or more before reaching muscle failure. However, doing my three sets of push-ups/dips to muscle failure program every other day WILL get you there eventually. If a person has never exercised in t...

Pyramids Or Ladders?
Does anyone train using the pyramid or ladder method of exercising? I have tried both and prefer the ladder method. In ladders you start at the bottom and work up. I do reps of 10-20-30-40-50 of pushups, situps, squats, and leg raises. I have tried pyramids where you work up and then down, 50-40-30-...

It Feels Great......
......to be an Atlas student, and following the original and best bodyweight training course on the market. There are many courses out there that try to imitate the DT course, but all fall short of the mark. Atlas was so far ahead of his time, with the recommendation to exercise morning and evening,...

Re: It makes sense to workout the Atlas way
No pain, no gain, burns you out. Train, don't strain is a method you can use for life. DT builds muscle proportionately with good tone, as it works the body as a unit, and is something you can do in your old age. I know, I've reached "old age", and I train daily, doing The Perpetual Lesson...
