Question about Lesson One Exercize 4

Post by curdog »

In the text of Lesson One Exercise 4 is says to bring the hands above the head. In going over this material again, I noticed that the note on the picture says to bring the hands "up over and back of the head." What do most of you do here? I have tried it the way the picture says and I think it is more effective and natural feeling.

Curdog, I have always practiced that exercise the way the picture tells you to. That way, it becomes an excellent exercise for the trapezious. Add the development of these muscles with the marvellous chest development you get with the dips, and you get that “power” look I really like. That's why all my old t-shirts do not fit me anymore! ;)

Interesting that the photo cut-line of my old UK version doesn't say to go behind the head, but does in my old US version and they both say "Splendid for chest, shoulders and hollow in neck" instead of just the word neck.
