Great quotes by Charles Atlas such as "step by step and the job is done", and "nobody picks on a strong man" have been inspirational to me at various times in my life.

"TRAIN DON'T STRAIN"

IT TOOK A BIT TO GET USED TO BUT,
THAT MEANS SO MUCH TO ME, COMING FROM A BACK GROUND OF " COME ON ANOTHER 10" ," BITE THE BULLET ", " YOU CAN STOP WHEN YOU FEEL SICK."
AND SO ON,

THE GOOD OLD DAYS.

Right on, Ian! Train don't strain was a very hard adage for me to implement in my life, but I finally got the message. Now I use this as my mantra in life in all that I do, and I am enjoying life like never before. I use this adage along with one that my young nephew taught me, "easy does it". We can try to overdo in things that we do, whereas if we would just relax a little and go with the flow. so to speak, all would go much easier.

A quote that used to make me almost kill myself in exercising was "no pain, no gain". Very poor advice! Atlas was so right with his great quote, "train don't strain". So many people, myself included have burned themselves out trying to adhere to the "no pain, no gain" philosophy.

REALLY NICE POST BRIDGE.

THERE IS MUCH MORE TO "TRAIN DONT STRAIN "THAN MEETS THE EYE.

I am in 100% agreement, "Train, Don't Strain"...

When I train, I can train as much as I want; as long as I don't strain myself.

Trust me, I was doing Parallel Dips one day and pushed myself further than I should of and "Paid the Price" temporarily. If I had stopped before straining myself, all would have been better. Nonetheless, I learned from that lesson and it didn't take too much time to recover; since my body was used to working out.

Once again, Charles Atlas points us in the direction we need to follow!

Good luck to everyone!

Happy Training!
