There are many ways to help with the Oil Spill. Here is just one place on the East Coast that is helping out in the Gulf:
Westy storage company in New York, New Jersey and CT are accepting donations of collecting towels, bottled water, powder detergent, paper towels, toilet paper and heavy duty trash to benefit The Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary in the Gulf with the effort to help the birds that in the area that have been affected by the spill in the Gulf. As an Atlas Student we should do anything we can, if we can. If we can't do anything due to location or budget then all the prayers that you can muster would be an amazing way to help. This spill doesn't just affect people in the US. Water can travel and the sooner this is stopped the better.

Re: Oil Spill
I feel ashamed to be British when I consider the mess to human, animal life and the environment that this outrage from BP has caused. This company must pay dearly for this, the consequences will be felt for many years.

Re: Oil Spill
True, BP is a British company, but they are not the only ones at fault here. There has been improper regulation and supervision of the petroleum industry for many years, through both Democratic and Republican administrations. Proper safeguards were not put in place, the U.S. government was lax in its regulatory obligations, and thus we have an enviromental disaster that will affect us for a long time.
