Re: vintage program
Bo Atlas, I have the new and an old DT course from the 1940s as a collectible item. Regarding the exercises, the courses are the same. That being said, I did notice one big change concerning the training scheme. The old copy asks to practice lessons 1,2 and 3 throughout the course, whereas the new version only lessons 1&2. The rotation in the old course is per week, whereas the new version is per 2 weeks. Personally, I have tried both and obtained better results with the old rotation scheme.
Old Scheme (routine per week)
Week 1: 1
Week 2: 1,2
Week 3: 1,2,3
Week 4: 1,2,3,4
Week 5: 1,2,3,5
Week 6: 1,2,3,6
Week 7: 1,2,3,7
Week 8: 1,2,3,8
Week 9: 1,2,3,9
Week 10: 1,2,3,10
Week 11: 1,2,3,11
Week 12: 1,2,3,12
New Scheme (routine per 2 weeks)
Weeks 1&2: 1,2
Week 3&4: 1,2,3,4
Week 5&6: 1,2,5,6
Week 7&8: 1,2,7,8
Week 9&10: 1,2,9,10
Week 11&12: 1,2,11,12
Regarding the text, the only difference I have found is one Lesson Two (diet lesson). The new version has excluded the advice to drink large quantities of whole raw milk to help gain muscle.

Re: vintage program
I read (or on A&E) that Atlas sent out mail once a month, so maybe it was a new lesson each month. I think I read that "when your next lesson arrives", didn't really say if it was a week or longer but mine does say 1,2,3 throughout then switch 4 with 5 and 5 with 6 etc.

Re: vintage program
emfermi, thank you for the vintage schedule
I started it 10 days ago, (now I am in the second week, lessons 1,2)
Let's see how different the feeling and the results are from the newer version.

Re: vintage program
Geosta, I am glad to know that you are going to give the vintage rotation a try. For me it has this great advantage, there are less exercises to perform. That means that I can perform all of them with much better concentration and thus benefit much more from them. In my experience, this rotation gives me better results. It is important to mention that I do train twice per day, and when I have a time constraint, I give priority to the lesson added, specially in the morning workouts. Also since there are lessons that do not contain exercises to add to your muscle training routine (that is lessons 7 and 12), I add lessons 6&7 and 11&12 together, making it a 10 week rotation instead of 12.
Please let us all know of your results at the end of the course!!!

Hi emfermi,

Re: vintage program
Always redoing the DT course is a great experience. Is like bumping into an old friend you haven´t seen in a while. You always leave happy and satisfied with the encounter
You are less than two weeks shy of arriving were the two schedules start to differ. That is when it becomes important to start putting a little more attention to how you feel and look, specially compared to your previous experiences with DT
Happy training!!!

Re: vintage program
I purchased my course from an estate sale of a guy who sent for it in the early 50's He also had the original envelops that the course was sent in. They are all post marked 30 days apart. So I think that proves that originallty each lesson was meant to be followed for a month

Re: vintage program
Hey Geosta, how is the vintage rotation going on for you
If I have not miscounted, you should be doing lessons 1,2,3 & 8 by now.
