recovering from injury

Post by sailordave »

Our trailer park has a limestone road. While walking the dog at night our neighbor's friendly cat came running to say high to our dog. She startled me and I rolled my ankle on some big pieces of limestones. Pulled a tendon on the inside right ankle down to the arch causing my right foot to go flat. Suffered with the pain for a month or two when it began to get worse before I finally relented and saw a doctor. Now have custom made orthotics in my shoes. Feet and ankle feel better. Am now on the road to recovery and weight loss. Have also felt good enough to restart the program again.

She's a friendly cat so I don't blame her. Trying to do the exercises was so painful that I stopped trying. It wasn't until I got the orthotics that I began doing them again and starting from scratch. I had even tried balancing exercises where you stand on one foot as long as you can and even that hurt.
