I really like superman's briefly worn costume during the early New 52 Action Comics era. Patched jeans, work boots and blue with logo short sleeve tight T-shirt and red cape.

The first ever superhero was The Phantom which was created in 1936 two years before Superman's debut in 1938.
Kit Walker the Phantom: The Ghost Who Walks is my fave super hero who doesn't have super powers. The Phantom is credited as being the first "costumed superhero", i.e. the first crimefighter to wear the skintight costume attributed to comic book superheroes, I think the Phantom has the Charles Atlas physique.
