IN OCTOBER 2006, I DOWNLOADED THE COURSE, I GOT TO WORK ON THE DIPPING EXERCISE AND MANAGED TO COMPLETE 12 DIPS IN THE DAY. TO BE HONEST I FOUND IT RATHER HARD.

I FOLLOWED THE COURSE AND TODAY 18 MONTHS LATER I CAN DO 200 DIPS DAILY WITH EASE. I HAVE LOTS OF ENERGY TO SPARE AS WELL.

HOW ABOUT YOU GUYS ?

ALL THE BEST IAN

Do you do 200 dips in one set, or how many sets does it take you?

HI BRIDGE,

THE MAXIMUM I HAVE DONE IN ONE SET IS 97 BUT,

I USUALLY DO 4 SETS OF 50, OR 6 SETS OF 30 TO 40 DEPENDING ON HOW I FEEL.

IF I DO TOO MANY SETS OF 50'S I GET A BIT OF PAIN IN MY ELBOWS.

OTHER DAYS A MIGHT DO 20 SETS OF 10.

ALL THE BEST IAN

P.S. NICE TO SEE YOU POSTING

15 - 25 one set

My fave method is to use 3 chairs, they are tougher but I'm not going for high reps.

One day I did dips all through the day and did a total of 512 reps, but I was exhausted for two days thereafter. If I do too many dips, then I don't have energy left for situps, deep knee bends, etc., so I hold it down to a total of 100 reps of each exercise. This way I keep my workouts balanced. Any comments or suggestions regarding this?

TERRIFIC NUMBERS THERE BRIDGE,

I THINK YOU ARE RIGHT TO BALANCE YOUR WORKOUTS.

YOU COULD TRY YOUR WORKOUTS AS FOLLOWS.

FIRST EXERCISE 1 SET , ONTO THE NEXT EXERCISE 1 SET, AND SO ON, TO THE END THEN START AT THE BEGGINING AGAIN, GOING ROUND AND ROUND.

HOPE THIS HELPS, ALL THE BEST IAN

Thanks for your reply and input, Ian. I am doing as you suggested, doing my exercises circuit style. It is much easier overall this way.

5 reps, 10 reps, 15 reps, 20 reps
Total = 50 reps.
Two or three circuits in the morning and one or two at night and you've got 200 reps a day.
Easy.

Very ingenious circuit setup, Glen! I have been trying to pump out circuits doing 25 reps, for 8 circuits. This has been tiring me out. I tried your advice this morning, repeated the sequence as you outlined, and before I knew it, I had knocked out 200 reps of pushups, situps, and deep knee bends! Thanks, Glen, you have really helped me discover a system that I can use to complete respectable amounts of reps for exercises without depleting my energy. Best regards, Bridge
