Re: Spring Foward
After a couple of days feeling groggy from the lost hour of sleep, the days are feeling better. I'm in New England and getting through February is the worst of it. Now, I'm up and out more, moving more, adding more walking to my activities. I've been adding a few dumbell exercises to my CA work for ...

Re: A New Student
Welcome! I'm 81 and in excellent health. I've exercised nearly my entire life be
ginning in high school till today when I took a 20+ minute walk while doing Atlas exercises along the way. keep at it. You can always
find time to do a few exercises here and there.
Best,
Jim

Re: Senior work out
I think at some point most of us find boredom with an exercise routine to be a problem. I remember many years ago when I began (1968!) it didn't take me long to become bored with the Perpetual Lesson routine outlined at the end of the course -- " You mean I'm going to do these exercises everyday ...

Re: Senior work out
I turned 80 last year and believe me I know how our energy and recovery times(!) change as we age. I've been struggling with the best way to balance my DT workouts not to mention incorporating aerobics with it. I find if I try to exercise (other than walking) every day my fatigue catches up with me ...

Re: Working from Home
Working at home, pulled out of our normal routines, can be quite stressful. I find it helpful to get up and move around, even doing a few Atlas exercises so that I'm breaking up a regular workout into 2, 3, or 4 mini workouts. It provides a good mental break while keeping up with DT.
Best to all!

Hey, Steve, how is your Atlas going? By now you've probably moved up to 2 or 3 sets in the dips. Keep us posted. Feel free to ask questions.

Re: Being Strong during this time
I read a lot these days about how peoples' mental health is being effected by the pandemic. As a retired psychologist who has presented stress management workshops, among others, an established principle of coping with stress begins with understanding that change -- any change, good or bad ...

Re: Spring Walkabout
It's that time of year, at least up here in New England, when things are getting green, pear trees are in bloom, birds are singing and some of the best things we can do are Free! Like taking a walk, brisk or slow, or a jog, or intervals of easy walking interspersed by short faster runs sometimes ...

Re: Dynamic-Tension ®
Don, how long have you been an Atlas student?
I began at age 28, I'm now 79. I have to admit I took off long periods of time along the way, but I always come back to DT, sometimes only a few exercises a day.

Re: Fruit of Living Melon Cleanse
I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience, Henry. I've never been a believer in cleansing processes. I think the body takes care of itself perfectly so long as we use proper care and feeding, e.g. good balanced diet in moderate proportions, adequate sleep, and regular exercise. A cleanse assumes ...
