I get up early so I have plenty of time for light morning exercise then off to work. I work 4 days a week so train mainly on my days off, also use my job (building site labourer) as workout.

Hello Vitaman,
as Atlas always says, "Train, don't strain". We all have times that we are feeling stronger and other that we are weaker.
Because this is not a contest but a healthier way of living through the Dynamic Tension system, every time, you must exert up to the point that you are feeling well.
It's much more important to exercise regularly, than to exercise heavier. If you can only do 5 dips this morning is perfectly ok, as it is if you feel stronger tomorrow evening and you'll do 10 dips is perfectly ok too.

Re: Getting started and keeping movtivated
Vitamin, what time do you go to bed at night? If you're not getting your 8 hours of sleep, that can make you feel tired when you get up. I read some place that it takes 30 minutes after waking to determine if you had a good night's sleep. If after 30 minutes you're still tired and groggy, then you need more sleep. And the amount of time a person needs for sleep can vary from person to person. Some people need 10 hours. Others can do with less than 8. So maybe you feel tired because you need more sleep than the average.

You're respiratory issues may be the source of your tiredness.
